Slice of Hope
Should we cry for the boys who didn't make it?
Or light a candle on the Sabbath morn?
Should we pity those who made it back?
Their bodies crippled and torn.
Should we honor those who kept us free?
And pray for those never found?
Should we worship the feeling of glory?
To triumph over victories sound.
Don't cry for those who gave their lives,
For they dwell in a peaceful place.
Don't pity those deformed,
They're still of human race.
Honor those who gave their lives.
In order to keep you free.
Pray for the lost to be found.
Sound, mental and physically.
Worship whatever you wish.
That is our freedoms way.
Triumph over America.
For we can speak, write and pray.
